Tank Clinic was established in 1976 as a general repair and refurbishing shop, servicing the general tanker industry and Oil companies throughout South Africa.

We have extended our operations and tanker offerings over the years. Tank Clinic has the support of a dedicated maintenance and repair facility at Tanker Repair Division JHB and also has an approved network of service providers situated in key regions throughout South Africa.

Tank Clinic has developed into one of the leading manufacturers of new tankers for the fuels, chemicals, LPG and Food industries within Southern Africa.

Tank Clinic is able to meet the most stringent design and quality standards and is certified to both ISO and ADR standards. Although ADR is relatively new legislation for manufacturers of vehicles that are to transport dangerous goods, Tank Clinic has been building tanks that meet these requirements since as early as 2006.

The manufacturing process is closely monitored by third-party inspectors from Bureau Veritas and all designs are verified by means of an integral Finite Element Analysis (Stress Analysis).

The early incorporation of ADR into the design developments has ensured a smooth transition and compliance with the SANS 1518 standard.

Tank Clinic is actively involved with the South African Bureau of Standards as a participant on the sub-committee which is charged with the implementation and amendment of SANS 1518 in respect of dangerous goods vehicles.
